Sr. Mary Grace

“Let Love Lead: following the Spirit of Hope”

From all of eternity, God desired that you be. He wanted to make you in His own image and likeness, a unique and unrepeatable reflection of His eternal glory. There is nobody like you, and there has never been nor ever will be anyone like you. God loves you for you.
Society tells us that our worth is measured by what we can do, produce, and achieve. And in this time of challenge and trial we can doubt our ability to love and hope. But the human person is made for love, not use. We are made for hope and not despair. In our missions, every day we witness women making heroic choices amidst life’s most difficult moments. We see strength arise and courage overcome all obstacles. In this talk, Sister will share real life stories about how these women let the Spirit of Hope lead them to life.

Fr. Pierre Farrugia OFM       Michael Dobb

Fr Pierre Farrugia O.F.M was born in Toronto in 1973 to Maltese Immigrant parents, the youngest of two other siblings. After receiving a call to the priesthood at the age of eighteen he eventually left for Malta, in Europe to resume formation with the Maltese Franciscan. After nine years, he was ordained a priest. He acquired a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Philosophy and Psychology at the University of Malta, and his Theology Degree at the Seminary in Gozo affiliated with the Angelicum in Rome. Once finally ordained he thought he would be spared ongoing studies, but his superiors asked him to go to Rome to specialize in Francsican Spirituality. This was a two-year Liscentiate course.

Fr Pierre is currently stationed in Rome, Convento San Francesco, accompanying our Temporary Professed friars until their Ordination.

Fr Pierre looks forward to being with us at Women of the Word and has assisted us in the past with the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Please keep him in your prayers, and all of our priests as they try to serve us as best as they can.
