Catechesis 2022 "Who do you say that I am?"

Jesus questions His apostles: "But what about you?" "Who do you say that I am?" (Matthew 16: 13-20)

Jesus poses this personal question to each of us. In return, an intentional and personal response is demanded of each of us. Inevitably, our response to this question needs to become the cornerstone around which we pattern the choices and moral decisions of our life. Who is the person of Jesus for me?

From this pivot point, we can set about seeking the response to subsequent life questions. Questions such as: "What is the Church and do I need it?"; "How do I pray?"; "Is God aware of the details of my life?"; "Am I really free?" and "Does Truth exist?"
